NNCHS takes part in 40th Nutrition Month Celebration

The initials R.I.P. doesn't mean "Rest in Peace" but meant "Resourcefulness, Industriousness and Patience."

These are some of the values Mrs. Magdalena Burgos, the keynote speaker emphasized in her speech during the 2014 Nutrition Month Celebration Culminating Program of Narvacan National Central High School (NNCHS) held at the NNCHS gymnasium, July 24.

The 40th celebration of the Nutrition Month focused on the theme: "Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisiyon Agapan."

The launching program held last July 1 duscussed the theme and the teachers and Supreme student Government (SSG) Officers planted coconut trees.

Five hundred eighty-nine freshmen, almost two-fifths of the whole campus body, attended the first day of school at Narvacan National Central High School on June 2.

"Upon entering the gate on the first day of school, wearing my new uniform and school stuffs, I was then feeling nervous but at the same time I am excited," said Maria Patrice Garces, Grade 7-Newton.

Meeting new faces and adapting in a new and wider environment made the freshmen feel uneasy because a lot has changed from their elementary life. But still, they have to adjust since they were a high school student.

Who will reign as the new champion in this year's intramurals?

Promoting teamwork and fitness, Narvacan National Central High School (NNCHS) will be holding its annual intramural celebration this September 25-26.

Just like in the previous years, students will compete to the different team and individual sports such as volleyball, basketball, sepak takraw, badminton, table tennis, chess, etc. Scrabble is now on its second year of inclusion among the competed games.

The MAPEH Department also announced that this year there will be Cheerdancing Competition as highlight during the opening program.
